Our History

Over the decades, we’ve achieved significant milestones:

1955: SBI is founded in downtown Omaha.
1970: Incorporated as a company.
1977: Relocated to a larger facility at 42nd & Dodge Street.
1985: Moved to our current headquarters at 725 S. 72nd Street with 45 employees.
1990: Dave and Sandy Parker became the owners of SBI, ushering in a new era of leadership.
2015: Celebrated our 60th anniversary and honored as a Steelcase Platinum Partner.
2020: Marked 65 years and received our 10th consecutive Steelcase Premier Partner award.
2025: Celebrating 70 years in business – reflecting on our past, embracing the present, and building for the future.
